I want to tell you how thankful I am to have met you ladies. Lincoln's birth was everything I could have wished it to be... down to the pancakes I got to eat in bed shortly after. It was important to me to create my own birth experience, I wanted to have the lights dim and a certain music playing, maybe a candle burning. Who knew in the heat of those labor pains you don't care about candles or music. Haha. (Remember Steve turning on Dog the Bounty Hunter)I was, however, relaxed in my own home, I felt completely taken care of. And it only got better after Lincoln came out. I remember after you all had left and finding those tea bags in the fridge... I was so happy my eyes watered. Thank you thank you! You have given me the most precious memories of Lincoln's first day in the world.

I have been waiting to write in this guest book since day one! Kristin and Lorri, you ladies are like family to me!! You both were everything I needed and wanted for my homebirth! It was soo incredible to have your confidence in my VBAC the entire time I was pregnant! I felt that during my pregnancy, labor and delivery-EVERYTHING was my decision and my choice. You ladies were always there to answer my questions with the best answer and when it came to advice I felt like I was flooded with different choices, unlike with my OB during my first pregnancy.
Kristin and Lorri, thank you for being my back up during pregnancy, labor and birth! I had a terrible fear of tearing and with the coaching from you I was tear-free!!!!
I also want to add a special thanks to the birth tub! I spent about 90% of my time in the birth tub because I could easily move my hips around and flip around. The warmth of the water took the edge of the contractions. I LOVE THE BIRTH TUB!
Kristin, you can turn any 'serious' situation into a funny one with your sarcastic humor! I love it! But when necessary you are there to also tell it how it is, there is no beating around the bush with you! You are also very kind and always put me before anyone else and you had no problem being a voice for me when I couldn't talk (like when there were flashes going off in my baby's face after birth).
Lorri, your warm hearted and caring personality was a wonderful asset to my pregnancy, labor and birth. I loved everything from your big motherly hugs, to your detailed stories, to your massages during labor! You always have a warm smile on your face and when I had a worry about something you would very positively assure me I was fine! I don't think I will ever be able to watch Don Juan deMarco without thinking about the moment my water broke! haha!!
Again, thank you ladies for everything! You gave me my dream delivery and I haven't been able to stop talking about either of you since I met you. You make the best homebirth team EVER, you two are the perfect balance for eachother and for homebirthing mothers. I don't think I (or Kyle for that matter) could have done it with out either of you. I could re-live labor and delivery every day because you helped make it a life changing experience for me.
Thank you for encouraging me when I felt doubt, thank you for tinctures and advice, thank you for assisting in my beautiful daughter's birth, you have made me feel like a real mother. With out this experience I wouldn't have recovered from the trauma of my first's c-section. Thank you, Thank you and a million more Thank you's!! You both have influenced my life more than I could ever imagine!
Sending you both eternal big hugs!

Kristin and Lori - Thank you so much for all of your help, kindness, and care as we brought baby Makenna into the world. Our homebirth was everything we could have asked for and then some. We were not sure what to expect with our first homebirth experience and you both made it very easy. My wife and I are overjoyed that we made the decision to use your services and would be happy to serve as a reference anytime!

I had my 5th baby and first home birth on 11-10-09 and Kristin and Lorri were my midwives. Kristin and Lorri were great and very accomodating. There were some insurance issues and changes in their policy during my care, but they stuck with the contract I agreed to at the beginning, even though it meant more hassle for them. They agreed to care for me even though I had 3 pre-term births previously (other midwives had declined to see me because of that) and I made the homebirth deadline by 1 day! :) They were a pleasure to work with, I am thankful for the care they gave me and my baby, and look forward to working with them again, God willing, if we are blessed with a sixth baby :)

We stumbled upon the magnificent Kristin and the Amazing Lorri by Good Luck and We am now recommending them to every one. Their care and expertise are impeccable. They have very personable characters and between them create a wonderful birthing atmosphere. They are an extremely complimentary team. Lorri made a "fertility tonic" for me, it has a blend of 27 or the best fertility herbs in it. She made it originally to help my husband and I conceive.
I wanted to post about how wonderful it is. I got it last week so obviously I am not pregnant quite yet. But now my poor sex starved husband has to leave the house to get away from me. I haven't felt this wild for my husband since...ever.
Just remember. Lorri Carr for all your female Viagra needs.

Having a home birth was even better than I thought it would be. I had round the clock care and was able to do whatever made me comfortable. Lorri and Kristen were wonderful. I felt that there was a trusting caring relationship that was not there with any OB I had previously seen. After a 34 hour birth with 5 hours of pushing, I had Kara Marie born May 25, 2010 at 7:03 am weighing 7lbs 15 oz and measuring 22 inches long

Home birth is a blessing! Kristin & Lorri are incredibly competent and wonderfully caring. There is NOTHING like a woman's touch during/after childbirth and my husband and I will NEVER go back to an OB/hospital birth. We are so glad to have made the decision to birth with Sunrise Midwifery in our own home.
The level of care given prenatally, during childbirth, and postpartum by the midwifery model, is heads & shoulders above what an OB/GYN can offer. Our labor & delivery was expertly assisted by Kristin & Lorri. It was approximately 12 hours (once it got going for real) and was an incredible experience. I was able to assume any position I wanted, eat & drink when I felt it was necessary, take walks, make crazy noises... all lovingly supported by the midwives and my incredible husband. Our second daughter was born in morning, in the tub. Natural childbirth, done in your own home, is not an adventure to be missed. Lorri & Kristin taught us that childbirth is an intense experience, not to be feared, but revered!
I highly recommend their services to any family who is thinking of adding a new member to their clan. HUGS!!!

November 8-9, 2009 was our third natural birth experience and first homebirth experience. We were uncertain about homebirth when we first looked into it early in the pregnancy, but with Lorri and Kristin and a lot of research we found a whole new world of birthing! And now we can't imaging bringing new life into the world any other way! Our journey to deciding on homebirth as well as a record of the experience can be found at:
http://joshandbrittanysthirdbaby.blogspot.com/
And when people hear we had a *gasp* home birth they always ask who delivered the baby. I proudly announce that MY HUSBAND AND I did!! But that Lorri Carr and Kristen Eggleston attended it and that we are SOOOoo grateful for their care and guidance! What a great job they did with us! Love you guys!

I had my first homebirth (third child) with Kristin and Lorri - it was wonderful and so were they! My husband and I were a bit apprehensive at first, but looking for an alternative to a highly medicalized birth like my first had been. Kristin welcomed and answered our many questions. Thank you for your care for me and my family!

Hi Lorri! I love your new internet site! I saw this guestbook - had to sign to get the ball rolling. I'm impressed with that baby counter - you have been a very busy lady! Don't forget to sleep a little too, okay? Wishing you lots and lots more happy healthy and beautiful deliveries
- Kristina
